What Your Kids Can Do at the Hudson Valley 40th Anniversary Earth Day Celebration!

What do you do with your kids to keep them entertained on a rainy day like today?

I'll tell you what to do with and for them if it's raining (or, better yet, if it's sunny!) NEXT Saturday: Take them to the Hudson Valley 40th Anniversary Earth Day Celebration. Are they under 12? Then they get to go for free, and you can get it for only $5.00 yourself (or for free if you turn in e-waste in the parking lot, first....but I digress...).

You ask: "What will there be for my kids to do at the Earth Day Celebration?"
My Answer: More than you could possibly fit into a day (not kidding!).

Before I post the entire show/activity schedule, below, let me tell you about the things that your children can do all day long:
  • Take pony rides
  • Go on hay rides all around the Fairgrounds
  • Do recycling activities in the Dutchess County BOCES CTI booth
  • Go through the 3-D Green Home built by DC BOCES CTI high-school students!
  • Play Agricultural Jeopardy at the NYS Farm Bureau computer kiosk
  • Check out the amazing solar cars built by DC BOCES CTI and the Newburgh Free Academy
  • Learn how to change bike tires, fix gears and put on biking gear at the Bikeway booth
  • Enter the Earth Week coloring contest
  • Make an Environmental Dreams globe to take home; and,
  • Build cool stuff to take home for free in our Maker Square area
Now that's "just" the stuff that's happening all day long, both Saturday and Sunday.

THEN there are shows and activities of all types, at specific times.
Heeeeeer's the schedule!
